What kinds of dances can I learn at Blueheel?

We teach a fun mix of Latin and Ballroom dances — think Swing, Cha Cha, Rumba, Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango as well as the ever popular Latin Club dances like Salsa and Bachata. Whether you’re looking to dance at a party, wedding, or just for fun, we’ve got you covered.

Do I need a partner to join a class?

Nope! Lots of people come on their own. We often rotate partners during group classes so you'll meet new people and learn to dance with anyone. If you're doing private lessons, your instructor is your partner.

What should I wear?

Wear something comfy that lets you move. Smooth-soled shoes (not runners) are best so you can glide across the floor. If you don’t have dance shoes, we’ll help you figure it out.

I have two left feet - can I still learn?

Totally! That’s exactly why we’re here. We’ll break it down step by step and help you feel more confident with each class. Everyone starts somewhere!

How long does it take to feel confident dancing?

Most folks feel pretty good after a few weeks — especially with regular classes. Private lessons can help you get there faster if you want a confidence boost.

What’s the difference between group and private lessons?

Group classes are great for learning steps, meeting people, and practicing with different partners. Private lessons give you one-on-one attention and help you improve faster.

Can you help with wedding dances?

Absolutely! We love working with couples to choreograph something special for their big day. Whether it’s your first dance or a surprise routine, we’ll make it memorable.

Are classes just for younger people?

Not at all! Most of our students are adults — some in their 30s, others in their 50s. It’s a welcoming, relaxed space for anyone looking to have fun, stay active, and meet new people.

We’re right in Port Credit, Mississauga — super easy to get to. And yes, there’s plenty of free parking around the studio.
